This makes you more anonymous, but reduces the number of peers available to you. You can use a special anonymous torrent client and a paid VPN (for speed) in combination. There are VPN-services specializing just on torrent-traffic. Although, this is not guaranteed to get you out of trouble with the law.

As for Telegram, it has encrypted traffic within itself, FPV operators in one known conflict use it as an analog to encrypted communication in some isolated cases, but I would encourage you to look into the mechanism for downloading files from Telegram. My understanding is that it first downloads them to its encrypted cache on your computer and then puts them in the Telegram Desktop folder in your downloads, but I'm not 100% sure about that.

I don't understand your frustration. If there's nothing much to translate, I didn't translate it. If there is, I always translate. Most of the videos with English subtitles in the general thread I made myself and double pictures with the original and translated text - my work in photoshop. Well, if I throw, let's say, videos of Ukrainian moms who ask to talk to their children, I give the context. Or do you need to translate their pleas directly? A simple one-minute video takes 40 min. to translate with all the checks. And I also need to save time to learn Python so I can make useful scripts for 2ch in the future based on requests\ffmpeg\imagemagick, because PowerSell 7 can be slow, which regular users don't like.
