I'm actually on my home board right now. My imageboard journey started 13 years ago on Somalichan aka 2ch.sо, and what is now known as Harkach (2ch.hk). I've lost count of all the imageboards I've posted on over the years. It's been... quite the journey.

Sounds about as pointless as trying to push a giant boulder up a mountain to me. And frankly, contrary to what some self-proclaimed "oldfags" would have you believe, I don't think this place was ever "not cancerous". At best it's nostalgia-fueled elitism of old men who can't accept the fact that they're not young anymore and that things changed as years flew by and that the demographic makeup of their beloved website also changed. Of course, there are some exceptions, as is the case with almost every single imageboard out there. For instance /b/ was always a cesspit (not a huge shocker probably), but some hobby boards are quite nice. Even /vg/ on here is, surprisingly, pretty decent for what it is, especially after Abu (local Moot) kicked all the gachaniggers out of there and made a confinement board for them. Hell, even cuckchan, for as much as I hate it, has/had? more or less browseable boards (like /g/ or /vm/).
Also wanted to add that I don't really remember 4cuck's /int/ being particularly cancerous. I'd say even go as far as to say it was always somewhat comfy. So hopefully we'll get as many former posters from there as we can, assuming cuckchan doesn't miraculously come back online tomorrow (fingers crossed).

A couple things:
1) I don't think anyone is coming. Most 4channers seem to already have moved to sharty (I wouldn't recommend going there, who knows who else might get hacked by those people). It's been over 12 hours since the hack, and I've only seen a couple plebbit/twatter posts about it. One of the biggest and most popular websites of the "old internet" with hundreds of thousands of daily visitors just went down and it feels like no one even has two fucks to spare. Crazy times. Just look at this place, it's a ghost town. And I don't expect things to change much in the coming days.
2) Discord and other popular messengers are probably the single worst thing to happen to the internet in the past 10 years. They're overmoderated and overcensored by greasy, morbidly obese, power-hungry pieces of shit that expect you to treat them like literal gods or some fucking cult leaders. You can't easily search and download stuff posted in them. All the info and content in discord is hidden away in a trillion private servers that you're supposed to join and then get vetted. That shit sucks. It's the textbook definition of "regression". Fuck that.

Yeah... Except back in 2014 it was much more organized and most people could figure out where to go from cuckchan relatively quickly. The entire site was being spammed with links to 8chan nonstop for days. Not the case anymore. I guess this time a lot of posters just went to sharty, but I feel like most are still scrambling to figure out where the hell everyone went. I've been seeing posts on plebbit and telegram, but it's all super disorganized. 4cuck might actually be kill for good if everyone scatters around and starts assimilating into various online communities.

Much longer. Zoi launched the "original Dvach" in 2006, only 2 and a half years after Mооt created 4chan. But the site has changed owners a few times since then, so there's debate what "2ch" really is and whether this site is a mere mockery of the original imageboard. I personally think that 2сh hk is a legitimate successor of the "old Dvach" and is the real thing. Abu, the current admin, has owned 2ch the longest and definitely contributed to it the most in terms of adding new features and making it popular.
