" The problem with these pads is the price and the false advertising that comes with it. For anybody that is interested in a REAL home dance pad, wait until the Impulse Platforms are released late 2017 (look it up if you don't know what it is). I actually ended up buying TWO of these bloody things. One of them was an earlier model that had this plastic covering on the top of it ($350 for the "ITG" version which was really just some brackets that were added - not worth what was at the time a $50 increase from the $300 model). Incidentally if you look at the price of the pad now, it's just $350 period. The people at Precision Dance Pads are all about the money. These things, combined with the time that it takes to assemble and the materials, can in no way possibly be anywhere close to $350 (even if they are trying to make a profit). It's just pieces of foil touching each other. They say it is "maintenance free," but that's exactly because you can't do anything to alter the sensitivity of the pads (or really anything for that matter). I don't know what I was thinking but I somehow bought another one and the experience was pretty much the same. You can use the Simply Love theme for SM5 and turn off "Decents" and "Way Offs" but the problem will remain the same and it doesn't really help that much. There are indeed many videos on YouTube that show people passing 15's, 16's, 17's, etc, with this pad, but in my own experience, my own playstyle, I cannot consistently FA anything unless it's a 12 or easier (on the ITG scale of difficulty). I also find crossovers to be absolutely impossible to do on these pads. Another problem here is that people have wanted a home pad of their own for so long. This is absolutely understandable (my home state of Georgia has pretty much only ITG machines at people's houses). But the PDP must be boycotted. They have cheated and swindled too many people out of their money with their blatantly false advertising. We ought to all save our money for the Impulse Platforms. $350 is (well, maybe not for some people) a lot of money. For certain, it is not worth $350 for one of these garbage tinfoil "Precision Dance Pads." "
